BUT...we did have one episode...
We got to the hotel and checked in (I did the talking lol), and got into the room. By the time we unloaded, he was pretty miserable. His lip was now completely swollen and huge, and it was extremely sore and tender. In his words, he had never experienced something like that before; it was stinging so badly.
As soon as we could, we pulled out our oils. I didn't have Basil or Cinnamon with me (both excellent for wasp stings, pulling out the poison, and reducing swelling), so I immediately applied Deep Blue, thinking the Wintergreen might help. But he didn't notice an immediate difference, so instead I went with my instinct and applied Serenity which has Lavender and Roman Chamomile in it, both of which I thought may be soothing for the pain. Instantly, and I mean instantly, as in within seconds, the redness went down, and the pain subsided. He was actually shocked at the immediate difference and grabbed the bottle again, to apply some more on. His words were, "That is AMAZING! That is SO soothing! The pain is gone. If everyone knew that something as simple as this would produce instant, I mean instant, results...wow!" So we let it sit for a little bit like that, and then later on applied some Purify which is amazing for insect bites. That wasn't as soothing as the Serenity, but was helpful for bringing the swelling down.
The swelling came down to a manageable level, but did stay slightly swollen over the next couple days. He reapplied Lavender (because we ran out of Serenity haha) and Purify over the next couple days as he felt he needed too, and by the third day, it was back to normal. I had a friend who had gotten a wasp sting on his lip, and his lip stayed largely swollen for a week (it was right before his wedding, so it was pretty memorable). So the fact that Jason's swelling went down so quickly was amazing.
So that is one of our most recent testimonies regarding to the oils!!! Now you know...if you ever get a wasp sting on your lip and don't have Basil or Cinnamon...grab the Serenity, or Lavender!
Isn't Lavender the most amazing oil!!!
