- 1 cup water
- 4 teaspoons sugar (use more or less depending on how strong you want the hold)
- 2 drops Geranium essential oil
- 2 drops Lavender essential oil
- 2 drops Peppermint essential oil
- 2 drops Rosemary essential oil
- 2 drops Clary Sage essential oil
- 8-ounce glass fine mist spray bottle
Directions
- Combine water and sugar in a pan, and bring to boil.
- Stir until the sugar is completely disolved.
- Remove from heat, and let cool down.
- Meanwhile add essential oils to your glass jar.
- Add the cooled sugar water to the glass jar, and cover with spray top.
You now have completely chemical free hair spray! Plus, the essential oils in this recipe are great for your hair and scalp. You can also adjust or use different oils as you want. If you are interested in lightening your hair, you may want to consider using citrus oils! On the flip side, remember, that citrus oils can lighten hair when exposed to sunlight!
And if you want to spice it up a bit, you can make some sea salt hair spray and get some beach waves into your hair. To do so, take out 1 teaspoon of the sugar, add 1 teaspoons of sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil.
